Setting Up Your AdWords Account
To set up your Google AdWords account, you can use any email you have. Please note, do not use an email that might have been previously associated with an AdWords account.
Before you begin setting up your account, you should first decide which platform is best for your business and budget. AdWords Express may be best for companies that wish to spend $1,000 or less each month, advertise locally and don’t have a comprehensive understanding of PPC management. For larger companies with a budget of $1,000 or more per month who have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of AdWords, AdWords Express is not recommended.
If you are setting up an AdWords account, follow the steps below.
*Note that once you set your Time Zone and Currency settings that you cannot go back and change them. For tracking purposes, the correct time zone is even more important. For example, if you’re on the east coast and a customer makes a purchase at 12:00 a.m., but your time zone is set to Pacific, it will look as though the customer made the purchase at 9:00 p.m. This can cause the data on your daily sales reports to be inaccurate.
